SPECIAL NOTICE of a NEW CD!
Here's a bit of a surprise! The Recital that Bill Billingham and I offered at the Sanfilippo Mansion this June has yielded a top-notch CD! The program was recorded live as we sang, and engineered by Josh Richter there at the Sanfilippo Studios right on the premises; it has been edited, pressed and released in "record" time. The folks who signed-up for a copy in advance have already been sent theirs, but a couple dozen still remain un-sold and un-claimed. This was a very limited pressing of what was quite a wonderful evening of eclecticism -- arias, show tunes, old favorites, a beer-jingle medley, and even the premier of a new work written especially for me by Steven Mark Kohn entitled, "The Senator's Stump Speech". The title of the disc is "A Few Of MY Favorite Things" which indeed it is!
This is a "live" recording made June 17th 2010, and includes the laughter and applause from the most appreciative audience; but do not think it is an amateur offering-- like everything else at the Sanfilippo Estate, the recording studio is PROFESSIONAL -- many groups from Chicago drive out to have their discs mastered here!
